Although here in the PNW we like to bookend our summer calendar with arbitrary points of reference like:
“It’s not summer until the 5th of July”,
and “Summer’s over after Bumbershoot”
(bumper-shoot is actually an old term for umbrella, circa 1896)
You technically have 14.5 days until the official first day of Autumn.
Use them wisely.
-We’ll be running the last of our summer favorites right until the end.
Fiore, with sweet corn, rosemary, thyme and cream.
(with a hint of smoked mozzarella in there)
Casarecce, with turnip greens and kale in spicy tomato.
Pappardelle, alla Bolognese
