Maccheroni, Sicilian Style!

It is rumored that the Arabs brought maccheroni (or rather “itriyya” a type of noodle, dried for travel), 

to Palermo during their conquest of Sicily, in the 7th century.   

….and  …um  …yea…  so that Marco Polo thing, not so much.

(sorry, thats all I got today)

….and this:

Maccheroni, with eggplant, spicy peppers, capers, green olives and a touch of anchoy


Also today:

Gigli, with ragu bolognese

Spaghettini, with kale-basil pesto
