No, it’s not Fall yet,

But one look outside, and the colors in these leaves may trick you into thinking so…..

With a hint of licorice flavor, and a slight astringent/brightness, a bit like you would taste in a leaf of a peppery purple salad green,

Purple Basil makes a nice change from the usual pesto.

Tossed with Gnocchi, it makes a lovely feast for the eyes, as well as for your face-hole.
