I took the task of finding exactly the right pasta table very seriously. I will be spending the better part of my days stationed in front of if, and, with such a small place, the table will have to be dual purpose- It must be able to seat people during the lunch service and be a comfortable table to work at in the early mornings. So, the only answer was to build one myself.
400 lbs of pasta making fury, and a nice place for 10 people to sit during lunch.

I found the legs (not actually legs at all)and square head bolts at Earthwise architectural salvage
My buddy Bill at Dick’s restaurant supply found me the granite top, they have a fantastic selection of used stuff.
A little notching and bolting for structural support
I’ll be taking my post in front of the windows, making some pasta, bright and early tomorrow, for its first “test drive” -preparing some pasta for a small private dinner for some close friends. -I’ll be sure to take some pics!

Mike,
Congratulations on your new adventure! My mother has an amazing 100+ year old cheese grater that her grandmother brought with her from Italy. It is a family treasure so I can’t wait to see your machines and of course eat pasta! Deborah
